  • When Eminem almost changed a Beatie Boys album

Back in 2004, as the Beastie Boys prepared to release their sixth studio album, they were stuck on one difficult decision: the album’s title. They were torn between two titles: “To the 5 Boroughs”, which was named after New York City, or “Still Doin’ It”, which was more of an inside joke between the members.

One night, after performing on MTV, the boys were hanging out in their dressing room, when Eminem unexpectedly came in. After greeting everyone, Eminem said the phrase, “Still doin’ it, man, still doin’ it”, completely unaware of the joke in the group. The room burst into laughter, leaving Eminem confused what was so funny. Instead of saying anything, Eminem just walked out of the room, never finding out what he did to make everyone laugh.

So without knowing, Eminem almost influenced the Beastie Boys to change the name of their album to “Still Doin’ It”. But in the end, they stuck with “To the 5 Boroughs”, as that name fit the album’s themes a lot better.

  • Is Eminem cooking something with 50 Cent?

50 Cent has just released a new single, and it has fans speculating that Eminem is involved.

The track, called “No One Told Us”, is the theme song for 50’s upcoming TV show called “Power Origins”. The song, which features Leon Thomas, was released only on 50’s social media accounts, along with a photo of 50 Cent and Eminem.

This has got a lot of people talking. Why would 50 include a photo of Eminem on a song that doesn’t even mention him? The track is very short, lasting only 1 minute 36 seconds.  People are theorising that what we heard is only a snippet of the full song, and when it drops properly, it will have a verse from Eminem on it.

As a reminder, there have been a few recent rumours of Em and 50 working together again. In a December 2024 interview, Eminem was asked if he was going to make a collab album with 50 Cent, to which he replied “it would be great… we just gotta stop bullshitting and just do it.” And then a few days later, 50 said “Looks like I’ll be back in the booth after all!”. Since then, a couple of supposed insiders have spoken out saying something is on the way, though nothing is confirmed yet.

Also, 50 recently posted saying how he was going to do a song with Eminem for the upcoming Street Fighter movie. While this won’t release until later in 2026, it shows that the duo are still working together for various projects.

  • Throwback Thursday: The Night Bruno Fell on Eminem

In 2009, we got what is possibly the funniest moment in MTV Movie awards history. A flying Bruno (played by Sacha Baron Cohen), falls and lands his buttocks on Eminem’s face. It was a hilarious moment for anyone watching, apart from Em and D12, who beat him up and stormed out of the event.

For the next few days, fans discussed this online, with many believing it was unscripted. However, all was revealed later, and it turned out Eminem was in on it. Sacha had proposed the idea to Eminem, who instantly agreed to do it. Eminem later revealed he found it so funny that when he got back to his hotel room, he laughed for three hours straight!

This incident was referenced on Eminem’s unreleased track “Back and Forth”, which is the original version of Discombobulated from Music to be Murdered By Side B.
